The matter involved a passenger in an Uber vehicle who alleged severe injuries and underwent four surgeries following a collision with a truck. BMM represented the Municipal Organization owning the Truck. Plaintiff sought a damages settlement in excess of $10 million.
Two weeks into trial, Mr. Wynne successfully petitioned the Court to permit the testimony of a retired former employee who had relocated to Thailand. Through extensive investigation and strategic trial advocacy, the witness was located and produced virtually during trial.
The witness's testimony generated significant interest from the jury and proved instrumental in advancing the defense position. Mr. Wynne's persistence, investigative efforts, and effective presentation of the facts ultimately contributed to a highly favorable mid six-figure settlement—representing a substantial reduction from Plaintiff's original eight-figure demand.
